British mezzo-soprano Miro Treharne is a 22 year-old graduate from Trinity Laban Conservatoire (first-class honours). She is currently studying at The Royal Academy of Music on the Master of Arts course under Catherine Wyn-Rogers and Joseph Middleton, where she is a member of the Academy Song Circle. She is financially supported by the Countess of Munster Trust as the ‘Dame Janet Baker Scholar’ (2025-2026) and is also a Drake Calleja Scholar, generously supported by the Drake Calleja Trust.

Miro​ has had numerous soloist performances with established organisations, such as performing Music For A While with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and in March, performed as the Alto Soloist in Mozart Requiem alongside soprano Ailish Tynan, tenor Nick Pritchard and bass James Platt with Blackheath Choir and Orchestra.

She regularly performs Song recitals in venues such as the Old Royal Naval College, St James Piccadilly and The Polish Hearth Club ‘Ognisko Polskie’ and has explored and performed a wide range of genres, with her programmes showcasing Romantic and 20th Century Song composed by under-represented and often female composers.

With particular interest in Art song, she was the Winner of the English Song Duo Competition in 2023 (adjudicated by William Vann) with her duo partner, Pietro Iacopini, and also celebrates their victory in the Elisabeth Schumann Lieder Competition 2024 (adjudicated by Rachel Cohen) and The Lillian Ashe French Song Competition 2025 (adjudicated by Alison Wells) held at Trinity Laban. 

She has performed in masterclasses taught by renowned vocalists such as Roderick Williams OBE, Sholto Kynoch, Roy Howat, Ailish Tynan, Sally Burgess and Andrew West. She was also awarded the Sir William Boreman’s Scholarship 2024 by the SongEasel organisation.​

With an immense passion for operatic performance, she has performed the role of Second Woman in Errollyn Wallen’s Dido’s Ghost with Trinity Laban, directed by Frederic Wake-Walker and in August 2024 attended the Saluzzo Opera Academy, performing as the role of Tolomeo from Handel’s Giulio Cesare. Supported by the Elizabeth Luxton Memorial Scholarship, she attended the academy and received mentorship from industry professionals such as Laura Claycomb, Carmen Santoro and Martin Lloyd-Evans. This coming July, she looks forward to performing the role of Penelope in Monteverdi's Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria with Trinity Laban.

She has also frequently been a member of the chorus in Trinity Laban’s opera scenes of Puccini’s La Boheme and Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffman among others while regularly working as an Extra with major film and production companies. ​
